Did Aamir want these changes made?
No. Everyone decided the script needed changes. (Director) A R Murugadoss wanted to make some changes in the Tamil film but could not, so he made them in the Hindi version. It was not only Aamir's decision. Everyone gives their inputs and eventually, it is the director's prerogative to change or not.
There is a wrong perception that Aamir interferes while shooting. He discusses everything before the shooting starts. Once the shooting starts, he is just an actor and does what his director asks him to.
